Expanding capacity, in partnership with the nervous system

Trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming professional education, supervision, and community education - grounded in the science of how people actually heal

How We Partner:

Logo with a profile of a person's head, a brain with connecting dots inside, a sun, and leaf motifs. Text reads: 'Bringing Neuroscience to Life. Applied Resilience Institute is a professional education and consulting institute helping clinicians, organizations, and communities apply evidence-informed neuroscience in practical, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming ways. Our work is grounded in a unified clinical framework that strengthens resilience, relationships, and human potential.'

The Framework: Cooperative Neurodevelopment

Every service at Applied Resilience Institute is grounded in the same integrated clinical framework: Cooperative Neurodevelopment™.

Rooted in neuroscience, trauma-informed practice, and neurodiversity-affirming principles, this framework offers a practical way of understanding human development—not by asking what's wrong with people, but by exploring how the nervous system develops, adapts, and thrives.

The ideas that follow guide every training, consultation, supervision, and community learning experience we provide.

Better questions create better possibilities

Partnership with the nervous system changes how we understand growth.

Five principles connect every part of our work

Each section contains a brief description of the principle.
